Twice Exceptional or 2E as it’s better know is defined as being gifted and having a disability at the same time. This disability could be dyslexia, dysgraphia, vision processing, auditory processing, ADHD, Asperger's/Autism, mood disorders, or other.

Highly capable children and teens often experience intense worry and stress. There are many reasons why this may be the case — perfectionism, asychronous development, imposter syndrome, and overexcitabilities to name a few. Sometimes the myths and pressures surrounding gifted children (i.e. good at everything, go to prestigious university) can exacerbate these feelings.
